European Measuring Instruments Directive (MID)

MID stands for “Measurement Instruments Directive” (Measuring Instruments Directive 2004/22/EC), which is updated by the new version 2014/32/EU as of April 20, 2016, and supplemented by 2015/13/EU. It regulates how measuring instruments are manufactured and conformity assessed (conformity assessment replaces previous initial verification) and how they are placed on the market (transfer from the manufacturer to the user).
