General cargo

In logistics, general cargo refers to goods that can be transported individually as single items.

General cargo measurement

In the case of general cargo measurement, better planning for transport is possible, as the exact measurement of weight and volume of incorrectly declared, overweight, or bulky loads is detected.

Goods

Goods are divided into free and economic goods. Free goods include air, water, and sunlight. Economic goods are scarce goods that must be produced and are not available in unlimited quantities. They can be divided into consumer goods and capital goods. The former are purchased by end consumers, such as clothing and bread. Capital goods, on the other hand, are needed by companies to ensure their own production.

Goods in transit

Object that is being transported or measured. The properties of the transported goods (material, shape, surface) influence the requirements for the measuring system.

Goods issue

During goods issue, the goods leave the location and are transported to the customer or to another location.

Goods receipt

The goods arrive at the goods receiving department. After a goods receiving inspection and a check of the delivery documents, among other things, and before the goods are forwarded, they are measured by APACHE.

Green logistics

Green logistics encompasses all measures and strategies aimed at minimizing the impact of logistics on the environment and thus reducing the ecological footprint. This applies to areas such as transport, storage, packaging, and disposal.
