AKL-tec GmbH left the LogiMAT trade fair grounds in Stuttgart with many new contacts. The company exhibited products from the areas of automated freight measurement and master data collection with APACHE and CubiScan, which have been continuously developed for many years. The experts were particularly proud to present the trade fair novelty redtagger T-300 with automated document diverter for the insertion of shipment documents into opened boxes with extreme throughput requirements. “With this, we are repositioning ourselves in the document handling sector and want to redefine it. We are willing and highly motivated to occupy a niche here in the next few years as we succeeded years ago with freight measurement,” explains Rüdiger Elben, Managing Director of AKL-tec GmbH. The document insertion system redtagger stands for smooth document handling and enables a high throughput rate thanks to just-in-time print data processing. Shipping documents such as delivery bills, invoices and remittance slips are printed and stored in the containers while they are being transported. With APACHE, the company has been targeting logistics specialists in general cargo transportation for years, who can use the system to record the volume and weight of general cargo. In parallel, it can be documented with a camera. Thanks to the conformity assessment of the measuring system within the framework of the European Measuring Instruments Directive, the data obtained is legally relevant and can be used for billing purposes. Likewise, CubiScan models are used to determine master data and optionally take a photo. The difference lies in the size, so CubiScan was developed for measuring boxes and smaller objects.
