Already for the third time AKL-tec GmbH organized the Pallet Dimensioning Days for the national and international partners. More than 40 guests from 17 countries took part in the three-day event, the kick-off of which was held in a technology museum. All companies have in common the fact that they are active in the niche market of freight measurement and jointly develop ideas to develop the market even further. “We were particularly pleased that, in addition to our presentations, our partners also agreed to report on successfully implemented projects in America and Spain in best practice examples,” explains Rüdiger Elben, Managing Director of AKL-tec GmbH. Other topics included deep learning, communication 2.0 in the cloud and modern marketing tools. Next on the agenda was first the theoretical and then, at the company’s headquarters in Alsdorf, the practical new presentation of the products redtagger, a product line for automatic document handling, “APACHE kee” and “APACHE kepl” for determining advanced logistics freight data, and “APACHE je” for measuring bulk goods in vehicles. Workshops on dimensioning topics, the exchange of experts and networking also took place. It turned out that the topics of advanced freight data, artificial intelligence and Big Data are in demand worldwide. “The intensive exchange keeps showing new interfaces and overlaps. These offer us enormous opportunity, which we want to exploit together,” Elben continues.
