We recently visited the SDFS Smarte Demonstrationsfabrik Siegen GmbH is located in a high-quality renovated building owned by Achenbach Buschhütten GmbH & Co. KG, which offers plenty of space for innovation. The aim of the Smart Demonstration Factory is to produce innovative, marketable products with cooperation partners, to venture into the digital age and to further strengthen the importance of the industrial region of South Westphalia. Many highly renowned companies have already been won over to the project. They are actively involved in research and development with their own facilities on site. In addition to the University of Siegen, they are also supported by RWTH Aachen University. The participants support each other with solutions and uncover challenges that affect many in the market. The organizers and leaders of the SDFS are a great team and you can feel that they are passionate about what they do and want to drive innovation forward.
