Dimension recording refers to the measurement and digital recording of an object’s physical dimensions, such as length, width, and height. The recorded dimensional data provides an important basis for logistics, storage, packaging, and transport processes.

Practical example:
In logistics, dimension recording is used to determine the exact dimensions of products, parcels, or pallets. The recorded data can be transferred to higher-level systems and used, for example, to optimize storage space, select suitable packaging, calculate transport capacities, or maintain master data.
